Happy New Year!

Do you have any New Year’s eve traditions? In Italy we eat a lot of food, set off small fireworks and play card games…. all night! And everyone, including kids, is up until midnight! It is a festive evening and a lot of fun.

When I was younger my parents invited all of our neighbors and their kids over on New Year’s Eve. We celebrated and played games and ate and laughed a lot.

Another thing I always used to do was to set New Year’s Resolutions. Resolutions that I almost never ever stuck to. Then over the years, New Year’s Resolutions got kind of a bad name… the impossible goal that you set for yourself once a year.

Recently I have grown to appreciate them again. Not because I think it is easy to maintain the resolutions I set, but because I believe in setting goals for oneself. In trying to grow and improve and become a better person. So we have started setting our goals at the end of every year. We look at our goals from last year, and set new one’s for the following year. And try to keep each other accountable in maintaining those goals.

This year I made these cute free printables to help us out! We wrote down the things we want to celebrate about the last year, and our New Year’s resolutions for 2020. It was a great way to look back and be thankful for all that God has done in our lives over the last year, and to look forward to the new year to come. He is gracious and we are so thankful- we just had to celebrate!

The printables are available in my free holiday printables! So be sure to hop on over! Hope your New Year’s eve is joyful and that your new year is colorful and bright!

Happy, Happy New Year to all!
