Are you throwing a Spa party? A brunch is the sweetest solution! It fits perfectly with the theme and allows you to create lots of fun treats for the girls to enjoy! We went with a tropical theme, to fit my daughter’s current obsession with Flamingos.
These adorable printable were created for the party theme. The individual water bottle labels, straws and drink labels were all just right for the theme. [You can find this adorable Pineapple printable at One Project Closer].
Start out with something “healthy”. I made berry muffins to fit the healthy bill. You can find the recipe here. I also had pineapple, pretzels, and mini croissant sandwiches for those who didn’t care for sweets.
For those with a sweet tooth I made these tropical sugar cookies piped with white chocolate. I am not a huge fan of royal icing, and so melting chocolate is my go-to decorating solution, and is well loved by the kiddos at birthday parties! The cutters are from Maisons du Monde. Aren’t they adorable?! And they fit perfectly with the theme.
I also made chocolate donuts, with chocolate ganache glaze, cookies and cream popcorn and girelle (pastry dough rolled and filled with Nutella). And last but not least the cake!! My daughter wanted an oreo cake this year. So the cake is death by oreo. . . chocolate oreo cake with oreo whipped cream filling covered in ganache and coated in my favorite butter cream recipe! The wings and head and made with melting chocolate! This cake was a ton of fun to make and turned out so pretty! The brunch theme was a ton of fun to bake for and the girls loved the food. I mean who doesn’t love an excuse to eat donuts, cake, muffins and cookies all in one sitting?!
The adorable supplies were from: All the printables (banner, toppers, water bottle labels, straw toppers, etc) are custom made Dolceamericana design, Target (ice cream cups), Ikea (cake stand, pink bowls and (pink and aquamarine plates), Maison du Monde (cookie cutters, trays), party plates and napkins are from Everything Party and the giant leaves are from Amazon.
