Bunny Baskets

When I was little, my Mom was a preschool teacher. Every year she would help her kiddos make these adorable little Bunny boxes with milk cartons, cotton balls, and other simple materials.

I always loved them

So this year I decided to make something similar. Something that reminded me of those cute little homemade bunny baskets.

You can make these with your kiddos and use them to put out a few simple prizes and treats from the Easter Bunny (if that’s your thing). We don’t do the Easter Bunny here in Italy, but I do like to surprise the kids with a few goodies some years just for fun!

To begin you will need a few basic supplies:

  • A small plastic or cardboard container
  • Cotton or cotton balls
  • Glue
  • Googlely eyes
  • Foam paper for the bunny ears (or construction paper)
  • A pink pom pom for the bunny’s tail

Begin by gluing on all of your cotton pieces. We glued them only around the sides because it lays flatly on the table afterwards. But you can fill in as much or as little of your bunny as you would like.

Next cut out your bunny ears. Leave about an inch of white ear at the bottom to glue onto your basket.

Glue your ears onto the inside of your basket. Add your googley eyes and bunny tail.

Fill with whatever treats you would like!

Happy Easter crafting!
