Snowy the Snowman

It’s a chilly winter day and the perfect time to do any easy craft with your kiddos! These easy snowmen are also a perfect party favor for a Onederland birthday party or a winter birthday or event. They are so easy to put together, that you can make several for your hosting needs without breaking the bank!

To make these adorable snowmen you need a few simple craft supplies:

• Googly eyes
• Paper roll tubes
• Chenille stems
• Pom poms
• White paper
• Glue

Begin by picking out coordinating chenille stem and pom poms to make your ear muffs. Measure 11cm (4.3 in) of chenille stem and cut off the rest.

Bend the tip of an orange chenille stem backwards on itself. Twist the end and the stem together into a point. Leave the top edge round. It should form a carrot like shape, similar to a triangle.

Next glue the white paper onto your tube and cut off the excess. Glue your chenille stem on either side of the top of your tube (I used a hot glue gun). Add the matching pom pom on top of the end of the chenille stem on each side of your snowman.

Add your googly eyes, and orange chenille stem nose with glue. Draw on his mouth with a black pen.

Lastly cut a long thin strip of felt. Cut fringe into the edge of your scarf but making short cuts into the material on either end of the strip. Attach your scarf around the middle of your snowman with glue.

Wrap your candy or prize in white tissue paper and stick it through the bottom end of your snowman.
