DIY Snow Globe Ornaments

How fun are these plastic snow globes that you can decorate and create yourself?! They are the perfect idea for a craft night with friends, or a craft to do with older kids. And it is really easy to create something super fun and sweet for your Christmas tree or as a gift for a friend or loved one.

Supplies for these winter scene snow globes:

• Bottle brush tree
• Fake snow
• Baker’s thread
• Hot glue gun
• Modge Podge Craft glue
• Glitter
• Miniature Snowman

Begin by gluing your tree (or snowman) on with a dot from your hot glue gun. Make sure to glue it on THE RIGHT SIDE. Open and shut your ornament and see which side fits into the other piece. You want to put the tree on the half of your globe that fits INSIDE.

Add the snow to the other half of your globe. Add a little snow at a time, shutting your globe after adding it to see if it is enough for your landscape. When you have the right amount of snow then you can use a thin paintbrush to paint craft glue around the rim of the globe half that FITS INSIDE of the other half. Make sure you put it on the right side! You can put a little glue at the base of your globe if you would like you snow to settle in a certain place, or leave it loose so that it is easy to shake it around.

Seal your globe and let it sit upright until the glue is completely dry. Do NOT move it in the meantime or you risk pieces of your snow sticking to the edges.

When it is completely dry you can add your baker’s thread to hang your ornament and a decorative bow in your holiday colors, to the top with your hot glue gun.
