5 Minute Appetizers!

Yesterday I shared my favorite easy roll recipe, made with pizza dough. They make amazing pizza appetizers for birthday parties and gatherings. They are easy no mess finger food that take only a few minutes to prepare. Today I want to share these mini cornettini, or mini crossaints.

These will take you even less time and ingredients and are seriously so good! They are really addictive.

You will need:

  • Grated Mozarella cheese
  • Shredded ham
  • Pastry dough/Filo (Phyllo) dough

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Unroll your phyllo dough. Grate your cheese and ham and set aside in bowls. Cover your dough with a thin layer of cheese and ham.

Cut into 12 equal triangles with a pizza cutter. When you have finished cutting your twelve triangles begin rolling your dough.

Roll the dough inwards starting from the widest end and finishing at the point. Gently pull the crossaint into a crescent moon shape. Repeat this with all of your triangles. When you are done distribute them evenly on your cookie sheet and bake in the oven for approximately 10 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly before serving. I say slightly because these little guys are best fresh out of the oven! They are a super no mess food that is simple to throw together last minute as an appetizer or finger food for your get together.
