Measure out all of your ingredients ahead of time. Once you start stiring your marshmallows and butter, you need to have everything ready so that nothing burns. Grease an 8×8 pan and set it aside.
Melt your butter first in a large pot.
Add marshmallows and chocolate chips and stir constantly. DO NOT stop stirring. Add the 1/4 cup of peanut butter once it has started melting.
When the ingredients are mostly melted add your 5 cups of Rice Krispie treats and stir well.
When the ingredients are well blended then press them down into your 8×8 pan and allow to cool. Cover with plastic wrap once they are chilled to keep them fresh.
Cut into squares when you are ready and serve.
